We’ve got a few small updates for you this week!
First, Pinterest is expanding its Creator Inclusion Fund to Canada, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and France.
Zeny Shifferaw, Creator Inclusion Lead at Pinterest said of the change: “Our mission is to bring everyone the inspiration to create a life they love, and inspiration is fueled by diversity of experiences, perspectives and communities. Expanding this program will unlock more opportunities for disproportionately underrepresented creators and content producers to gain financial support, exposure, resources and reach new audiences looking to be inspired by their passions on our platform.”
Next, now long after the announcement that Instagram would be winding down its NFT-related projects, parent company Meta announced that all NFTs in the app will be deactivated as of April 11th.
Instagram is also testing a new discovery feature that would add a custom feed to the Explore page, in which users can discover content with friends based on public accounts they both follow and posts they’ve interacted with.
And lastly, TikTok has introduced the option to refresh the For You feed so recommendations can continue to feel relevant. This addition comes with some extra content control features to shape users’ experiences.
That’s all for this week!
