First up, Meta. You might remember the announcement of the Meta Verified program in February, but there’s more: Meta Verified for businesses is coming soon. This will allow brands to add more authority and stand out on Meta platforms, with a verified badge, impersonation protection, account support, and more.
Next, TikTok is adding the ability for users to identify when their content is made with AI. Users who don’t identify their AI creations will be at risk having their content removed.
According to TikTok: “AI enables incredible creative opportunities, but can potentially confuse or mislead viewers if they’re not aware content was generated or edited with AI. Labeling content helps address this, by making clear to viewers when content is significantly altered or modified by AI technology. That’s why we’re rolling out a new tool for creators to easily inform their community when they post AI-generated content.”
Now on Instagram, access to gifts is expanding into Reels. Here are the details. To be eligible for gifts on Instagram, users need 5,000 followers minimum, meet partner monetization policies, be over 18 years old, and have a professional account. Also coming to Reels is the ability to filter to a following-only feed.
And finally, Threads is adding the ability to follow a specific thread in the app without following the user. Just tap the bell icon to get notifications for updates to a conversation.
