Daily Activities

  • Extend connection requests. (10-20 per day) Don’t bother leaving notes with your connection requests unless they are personalized and meaningful. Connect with people in your target audience, those who engage with you, or based on location, keywords, or company.
  • Posting content. (At least 1 post per day, Monday through Friday) Position yourself as an expert in your field so individuals in your network trust your input and rely on your information by sharing your insights on relevant content. Consistency in posting increases your visibility, and posting natively on LinkedIn even more so.
  • Join conversations. (Likes, comments, shares, and checking notifications) Open communication channels with others in your field and target audience. Search through hashtags and your feed for opportunities.

Weekly Activities

  • Join and post in groups. Find your most successful posts and share them in groups you have joined. Groups can be made up of your target audience as well as colleagues.
  • Search for keywords related to your industry – add your expert opinion to the conversation.
  • Search through your network and select a connection to build a relationship with. Reach out and engage with them specifically and genuinely.

(Tip: The less you promote yourself, the more people want to work with you!)

Monthly Activities

  • Check and update your profile with relevant information.
  • Endorse some of your contacts.
  • Write recommendations for connections you’ve worked with.
