We hope you all had a wonderful holiday – and now onto the updates.
First up, TikTok has launched the ‘Artist Account’ option to help musicians on the app optimize their reach through helpful new tools.
Next, Instagram is looking to encourage more engagement with Stories by launching a new option called “Hype.” Though not much is known about this feature yet, we do know that adding Hype involves comments that others can see, likely to drive more interactions.
Meta has a small update too: the removal of cross-app communication between Instagram and Facebook.
YouTube is next, with updates to the Product Drop feature. Here’s how they describe the coming changes: “Any creators who have connected to their first party stores, or are participating in the YouTube Affiliate Program can set up Product Drops in the live control room on YouTube. This means that more creators will be able to use Product Drops to boost sales and engagement on their live streams…This will give creators more flexibility to react to the moment, and drive excitement in real time.”
And here’s a bit more information on that.
Our last set of updates are coming from LinkedIn. If you suspected more about AI, you’re correct. Using AI, LinkedIn is implementing a new moderation and detection system for policy-violating content. And lastly, if you want to do some reading, LinkedIn’s latest “Future of Work” report explores the impact AI has been having on different industries.
That’s all for this week, folks!
