The AI trend is continuing across various social media platforms; today we have updates on features from Linkedin, TikTok, and Snapchat!

First, after their My AI chatbot feature, Snapchat is launching an image-based AI tool called Dreams. Through Dreams, users can upload images of themselves and generate fantastical snaps of themselves. Not much else is known about this new feature yet, however.

Next we have LinkedIn, adding AI-generated messages to the Recruiter platform, wherein HR professionals can send personalized messages to potential candidates. LinkedIn explains the process like this: “Using our own LinkedIn in-house generative AI model trained on successful InMails, we use the information from the candidate’s profile, job description, and the recruiter’s company to draft a highly personalized message to get the conversation started.”

The last AI-related update is from TikTok. Tako is a new AI chatbot launching within the app, similar to Snapchat’s My AI, meant to help users discover interesting content. Currently Tako is only being tested in the Philippines.

In other news, Meta released a study diving into the effectiveness of ad campaigns on the platform. You can find the data here!

And finally, YouTube is ending its support of the Stories feature on June 26, 2023. Are you sad to see it go? Let us know what you think of these changes.

We’ll see you next week!
