All aboard the Threads train! If you’re working on your Threads strategy, Meta has some updates to the new text-based app. They’ve added a ‘following’ feed, where posts are displayed in chronological order as opposed to the curated ‘For You’ feed, giving more users control over what they see. Users also have post translation options, and new sorting options for the Activity feed. Here’s a deeper look.
Next, TikTok is making text posts available to all users. Here’s how they describe the update: “With text posts, we’re expanding the boundaries of content creation for everyone on TikTok, giving the written creativity we’ve seen in comments, captions, and videos a dedicated space to shine.”
Also on TikTok, a new deal with Warner Music Group is bringing revenue and marketing opportunities. According to TikTok, “The multi-year, multi-product deal licenses the repertoire of Warner Recorded Music and Warner Chappell Music to TikTok, TikTok Music, CapCut, and TikTok’s Commercial Music Library.”
That’s all for today. We’ll catch you next week!
