Just a few updates here for you all. Firstly, YouTube is bringing a curated “For You” section to the app based on users’ interests. The update, according to YouTube, will “recommend a mix of different content types from that channel based on the videos they’ve already watched.” There’s more info in this video.

Next, while user sign-ups on Threads have settled down, the new platform is still growing.

Meta chief Mark Zuckerberg said of the improvements, “The community here is on the trajectory I expect to build a vibrant long term app. Lots of work ahead but excited about the team’s pace of shipping.” He also said that search features and a web version of the platform are coming in the next few weeks!

And lastly, we have some more details on Meta’s generative AI music project AudioCraft: “Imagine a professional musician being able to explore new compositions without having to play a single note on an instrument. Or a small business owner adding a soundtrack to their latest video ad on Instagram with ease. That’s the promise of AudioCraft — our latest AI tool that generates high-quality, realistic audio and music from text.”

That’s all for this week!
