Good afternoon, all! Let’s get on with this week’s updates.

The first batch comes from Threads: the option to sort searches into Recent or Top tabs, making it easier to keep up with discussions as they happen; also, DMs! It’s important to note that currently the inbox for Threads messages will be accessed through Instagram, though technically users can send messages from within the Threads app.

Next up, Meta is giving influencers the ability to create AI chatbots of themselves to make engaging with their followers easier. Second, a new hub of information for developers using Meta’s API has become available. Here’s how they describe its purpose:

“Meta’s responsible platform initiatives require developers to be transparent about how they use and handle user data responsibly. We understand that user trust is crucial and being open about how we use data is the key to building and maintaining that trust. Consumer concerns about data privacy are growing. Companies that invest in transparent practices can more effectively earn and build trust.”

Our final update today comes from YouTube. A ‘Most Relevant’ option is coming to the Subscriptions tab, so users can find updates from the channels they interact with most or have watched recently. Currently this feature is only in the experimental stage. Are you one of the lucky users who has the option to try it out?

That’s all for now – catch you next week!
