Greetings, all! Today we’re starting off with several updates from Meta. Firstly, Messenger is going to get the option to feature shared photo and video albums in-stream. HD photos are also coming. It’s going to be easier than ever to facilitate connections through Messenger with a QR Code feature as well.
A few child protection measures are on the way for Meta’s VR platform, including a prompt for users to confirm their ages with ID or through a parent.
Further, a new program is coming to Threads to potentially get creators paid! As reported by Business Insider, “Eligible creators can earn money from Threads content based on the “performance” of posts or the “number of posts” shared to the app. Threads posts with “less than 2,500 eligible views” are not eligible for payouts.”
Facebook is taking more pages out of TikTok’s book with a new full-screen, vertical video format.
Next, LinkedIn is offering some interesting updates for brands with connected TV ads. Here’s the scoop:
Right within Campaign Manager, you can easily launch a LinkedIn CTV campaign and scale it across our network of publishers, including Paramount, Roku and Samsung Ads. With LinkedIn CTV, you can rest assured that your campaign is aligned with publishers across the LinkedIn Audience Network, which DoubleVerify measured as over 99% brand safe since the beginning of our partnership.
And for our last update, YouTube has launched an AI-powered feature that can skip viewers ahead to the most interesting parts of a video – currently in testing. Some new in-stream shopping tools are also on the way!
That’s all for now! Catch you next time.
